Tigers Sweep Huskies - Advance to Regional Final
The ADM Tigers secured a decisive 3-0 victory over Winterset in the second round of the IGHSAU Class 4A regional match, winning with set scores of 25-19, 25-23, and 25-19. The sweep not only propelled ADM to the regional final but also kept their postseason dreams alive as they aim for a spot in the Class 4A state tournament. ADM will travel to Glenwood on Tuesday to face the Rams, with the winner advancing to Iowa City.
ADM's offense was led by standout performances from London Warmuth and Macy Person, who consistently found gaps in Winterset's defense. Warmuth led with 10 kills on 22 attempts and added two aces. Person contributed eight kills on 21 attempts, along with seven digs and a block assist, showcasing her all-around impact on both offense and defense.
Setter Elise Coghlan played a pivotal role, orchestrating ADM's offense with 26 assists. She also tallied one ace, nine successful serves, and eight digs, proving her versatility. On the defensive front, libero Madi James was a force with 16 digs and three service aces, anchoring ADM's back row and limiting Winterset's offensive opportunities.
Addison Herrick added power to the attack with six kills, while Ella Subbert and Calli Seehase provided steady support, each contributing a kill and several digs. Kendra Smith also made her presence felt with accurate serves, recording seven successful serves on nine attempts.
ADM will travel to Glenwood with the first serve scheduled for 7:00 PM. Tickets are sold online only through Bound.
