ADM Girls Track & Field Captures Sixth Straight RRC Championship

The ADM Girls Track & Field team continued its dominance of the Raccoon River Conference on Wednesday night, capturing its sixth consecutive RRC Championship on its home track in Adel. The Tigers totaled 177 points to outdistance runner-up North Polk (130) and Gilbert (116) in front of the home crowd at the 2026 RRC Conference Meet.

Adding to the celebration, longtime ADM Head Coach Bart Mueller was named the Raccoon River Conference Coach of the Year in what will be his final season leading the Tigers. Mueller is retiring from teaching and coaching at the conclusion of the school year, closing out a remarkable career that has helped establish ADM as one of the premier girls track and field programs in the state.

The Tigers delivered outstanding performances across the track and field events, earning conference titles in multiple events and piling up points in every area of the meet.

ADM opened the evening with a conference championship in the 800 Sprint Medley Relay as Peyton Standley, Claire Priestley, Brecken Morse, and Elise Coghlan crossed the line first in 1:50.61.

The Tigers also claimed relay gold in the 4x100 Relay, where Haley Nelson, Isabelle Book, Kate Darling, and Peyton Standley raced to a winning time of 49.28.

Individually, ADM athletes turned in several championship performances:

  • Isabelle Book won the 100-meter dash in 12.87 and later added another conference title in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.32.

  • Elise Coghlan swept the hurdle events, winning the 100 hurdles in 15.07 and the 400 hurdles in 1:05.38.

  • Lauren Hagedorn dominated the throwing events, capturing conference titles in both the shot put (39-1) and discus (124-8).

  • Haley Nelson added a runner-up finish in the 200-meter dash and placed third in the 100 hurdles.

  • Brecken Morse finished second in the 400-meter dash in 59.30.

ADM also received major contributions from its relay teams and distance runners throughout the night:

  • The Tigers won the 4x800 relay behind Vivian Novelli, Allie Eggleston, Alaina Nelson, and Clara Uthe.

  • ADM finished second in the Distance Medley Relay, 4x200 relay, and 4x400 relay.

  • Elliotte Von Roden placed sixth in the 1500-meter run, while Allie Eggleston added an eighth-place finish.

  • Clara Uthe finished third in the 400 hurdles.

  • Bella Smyth added a fourth-place finish in the long jump.

The conference championship continues an incredible run for the ADM girls program and serves as a fitting milestone during Coach Mueller's final season.
