Tigers Sweep Home Showcase with Shutout Wins Over Dowling and Van Meter

The ADM Girls Soccer team made the most of their home showcase weekend, turning in a pair of impressive victories in front of their home crowd in Adel.

The Tigers opened the showcase Friday night with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Dowling Catholic in a match that included a 40-minute lightning delay. Despite the interruption, ADM stayed composed and found the breakthrough midway through the first half. Senior Haley James delivered the game's lone goal 19 minutes in, and the Tigers' defense made it stand up the rest of the way to secure the shutout.

ADM returned to the field Saturday morning to face Van Meter under much different conditions, battling through a cold and blustery day. The Tigers didn't let the weather slow them down, putting together a strong offensive performance in a 3-0 victory over the Bulldogs. Sophomore Rowan Crowell led the way with two goals, while freshman Faith Doyle added another to cap the scoring effort. The defense once again held firm to preserve the clean sheet.

With the two wins, ADM improves to 4-2-1 on the season. The Tigers will look to keep their momentum going as they return home to host Nevada tomorrow night in Adel, with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m.
