Tigers Take the Battle of Ranked Teams

The ADM girls basketball team made a statement Tuesday night at ADM High School, rolling past Class 5A No. 11 Indianola 56-26 in a non-conference showdown between two ranked programs on Coaches vs. Cancer Night.

Quarter-by-Quarter Scoring

Team 1st 2nd 3rd 4th Final
Indianola 6 2 11 7 26
ADM 12 15 17 12 56

Class 4A No. 12 ADM set the tone early and never looked back. The Tigers jumped out to a 12-6 lead after one quarter, using strong defensive pressure to keep Indianola out of rhythm. That defense tightened even more in the second quarter, as ADM limited the Indians to just two points while pouring in 15 of their own to take a commanding 27-8 advantage into halftime.

ADM continued to control the game after the break, scoring 17 third-quarter points to extend the margin to 44-19. With the outcome well in hand, the Tigers closed the night with a 12-point fourth quarter to secure the 30-point victory.

Sophomore Ella Subbert led all scorers with 13 points and also made her presence felt on the glass, pulling down 11 rebounds while handing out four assists. Junior Alexis Maxwell followed with 10 points and five steals, and sophomore Aubrey Noring added eight points to help fuel a balanced offensive attack. Macie Leinen scored six points, while Brecken Morse and Bella Spreacker each contributed five as ADM spread the scoring throughout the lineup.

The Tigers were just as impressive on the defensive end, forcing turnovers and holding Indianola to single-digit scoring in two of the four quarters.

With the win, ADM improves to 12-6 on the season, while Indianola falls to 11-6.
