Tigers Win Home Opener Over Carroll
The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers opened their home schedule in impressive fashion Tuesday night, powering past the Carroll Tigers 57–30 at ADM High School. The victory marked ADM's first win of the season and their first Raccoon River Conference triumph, improving their record to 1–4.
Fast Start Sets the Tone
ADM established control early, pushing the pace from the opening tip and jumping out to a 13–5 first-quarter lead. Defensive pressure and efficient ball movement kept the momentum rolling, allowing ADM to take a 22–12 advantage into halftime.
Tigers Break It Open After the Break
The second half belonged entirely to the Tigers, who outscored Carroll 35–18 over the final two quarters. ADM's depth, tempo, and defensive intensity wore down Carroll, helping seal the 27-point victory.
Balanced Scoring Leads the Way
Sophomore Aubrey Noring headlined the offensive attack with 14 points on an efficient 4-of-7 shooting, including two three-pointers, while also contributing four assists and three steals.
Senior Ellis Smith delivered a strong all-around performance, scoring 11 points and knocking down three shots from beyond the arc.
Sophomore Ella Subbert added 11 points of her own while pulling down a team-high six rebounds and swiping six steals, showcasing her versatility on both ends of the floor.
