Tigers Advance to Fifth Straight State Softball Tournament

The ADM Tigers Softball team is once again Fort Dodge bound! In a powerful display of offense, the ADM Tigers earned their fifth consecutive trip to the IGHSAU State Softball Tournament with a resounding 12-1, five-inning victory over Sergeant Bluff-Luton in the Class 4A Region 4 Final Tuesday evening.

Tigers Turn Up the Heat with Four Home Runs

Playing in front of a spirited home crowd, ADM quickly erased a 1-0 deficit after SBL's Bailey Moreau opened the game with a solo home run. Freshman Aubrey Noring sparked the Tigers' rally with a two-run blast in the 2nd inning, giving ADM a lead they would never relinquish.

In the 3rd, senior slugger Madi James extended the advantage with a towering three-run homer, pushing the score to 5-1. Noring wasn't finished—she launched her second home run of the night in the 4th inning, part of a two-run frame.

Then came the emphatic finish. In the bottom of the 5th, junior Lauren Hagedorn stepped up and delivered a grand slam to seal the run-rule victory and send the Tigers into celebration.

Noring Leads the Charge

Aubrey Noring led ADM with a perfect 2-for-2 night, two home runs, three runs scored, and five RBIs. After the game, she reflected on the moment:  Joining Noring in crossing the plate were Elliotte Von Roden (2 runs), Ellis Smith (2), Aniston Tollari, Peyton Herrick, Lauryn Troster, and Madi James.

Pitching and Defense Stand Tall

Sophomore Makenna Pitlick started in the circle for ADM and was solid over 2 innings, allowing just two hits and striking out two. Hagedorn backed up her bat with three innings of pitching brilliance, collecting six strikeouts and allowing just one walk.
