ADM Boys Cross Country Races to Third Place Finish at RRC Championships
Bondurant, IA — October 13, 2025
The ADM Boys Cross Country team turned in an impressive performance at the Raccoon River Conference (RRC) Championships Monday evening, earning a third-place team finish against one of the most competitive fields in Class 3A. Facing multiple ranked programs, the Tigers delivered one of their strongest races of the season.
Top 5 Scoring Runs Power Team Finish
ADM's lead runner, Ty Landphair (12), posted a season-best time of 16:26.04, finishing 5th overall and giving the Tigers an early low stick to build on.
He was followed by a tightly packed scoring group that secured critical places for ADM:
-
Ty Miller (11) — 12th place, 16:58.71
-
Max Marple (11) — 13th place, 17:09.10
-
Andrew Coller (9) — 15th place, 17:20.87
-
Jack Leistikow (10) — 21st place, 17:43.62
That scoring group produced a team total of 66 points, solidifying ADM's third-place finish behind Gilbert (22) and Bondurant-Farrar (62). Carlisle (102), Winterset (163), Ballard (171), North Polk (178), and Boone (223) rounded out the team standings.
Depth and Pack Running Make the Difference
ADM's 6th and 7th runners, Robbie Hall (25th, 17:55.92) and Nick Subbert (28th, 18:01.83), provided valuable displacement and showed the team's depth — a key factor in competing with some of the state's top programs.
Challenging Course, Strong Competition
The RRC Championships were held at Bondurant-Farrar High School, a course known for its fast first mile and rolling middle sections that test racing strategy. Gilbert, the top-ranked team, swept the top three individual spots, but ADM held its own, finishing just four points behind Bondurant-Farrar for the runner-up position.
