Boys XC Opens Season at Johnston
The ADM boys cross country team kicked off their 2025 season on Saturday, August 30th, competing against a strong field at the Johnston Sunrise Invitational hosted at Johnston High School. The Tigers ran to an impressive third-place finish, tying with Urbandale at 111 team points but edging out the J-Hawks on a tiebreaker thanks to stronger sixth-runner placement.
Team Results
Johnston, the host and defending state powerhouse, took the team title with 52 points behind a dominant 1–3 finish from their top runners. Bondurant-Farrar claimed runner-up honors with 101 points, while ADM and Urbandale battled closely for the third spot, both finishing with 111. Chariton rounded out the top five at 125.

Tiger Standouts
ADM's charge was led by junior Ty Miller, who clocked a strong 16:25.7 to finish 9th overall. Senior Ty Landphair wasn't far behind, placing 15th in 16:58.8. Junior Max Marple (24th, 17:20.4), sophomore Dain Holdmeyer (28th, 17:32.8), and senior Robbie Hall (35th, 17:50.9) rounded out the Tigers' scoring five.
Freshman Andrew Coller (36th, 17:51.0) and sophomore Jack Leistikow (44th, 18:03.2) provided valuable depth, securing ADM's tiebreaker advantage over Urbandale.
