Boys Golf Tees Up RRC Meet Title
The ADM Boys Golf Team soared to victory at the highly competitive Raccoon River Conference Meet. ADM shot 290, which was 13 shots clear of the runner-up. Senior Easton Korell took home medalist, winning a 3-way playoff which included fellow teammate Grant Jansen. Both Tigers shot -1 overall through 18 holes to earn an extra playoff hole. Head Coach, Nolan Gitch, was also named RRC Coach of the Year to add to the team's successful day.
From the outset, it was evident that ADM was poised for success. Led by their seasoned veterans, the team approached each hole with precision and focus, determined to leave their mark on the competition. ADM played brilliantly on the opening nine and continued to play well through gusty conditions. The Tigers had 5 golfers named to the RRC All-Conference team by placing in the top 10: Easton Korell - 1st place (71), Grant Jansen - 3rd Place (71), Carter Madison - 4th Place (72), Finn Garton and Grant Hickey - 8th Place (76). Lincoln Banwart was named Honorable Mention after shooting a 77 to finish in 13th place.
The Tigers will now head to sectionals at Whispering Hills in Council Bluffs to begin postseason play.
