ADM Pulls Away in Conference Win Over Winterset
The ADM boys basketball team picked up an impressive Raccoon River Conference victory on Friday, December 12, defeating Winterset 63–37 at ADM High School.
The game opened with a tightly contested first quarter, as both teams traded baskets and defensive stops. Winterset held a narrow edge early, but the Tigers finished the quarter strong to take a 12–10 lead.
ADM took full control in the second quarter, delivering a dominant stretch on both ends of the floor. The Tigers poured in 29 points while holding the Huskies to just five, using disciplined defense and efficient offense to build a commanding 41–15 halftime advantage.
Coming out of the break, ADM continued to play within themselves and maintain pressure. The Tigers outscored Winterset 18–12 in the third quarter to extend the lead and comfortably closed out the game in the fourth, securing a 63–37 conference win.
Senior Hudson Lorensen led the way for ADM with 20 points, knocking down five three-pointers. Fellow seniors Hudson Shull and Trey Bryte each added 13 points, with Bryte also contributing six assists and five steals in an all-around performance. ADM showed balanced team play, finishing with 16 assists and forcing 14 turnovers on the defensive end.
With the win, ADM improves to 4–0 on the season and remains unbeaten in Raccoon River Conference play at 3–0. Winterset falls to 2–2 overall and 1–2 in conference action.
