Tigers Dominate RRC Opener
The ADM boys basketball team opened Raccoon River Conference play in emphatic fashion Friday night, rolling to a 63–25 victory over North Polk at North Polk High School. From the opening tip, the Tigers set the tone with energy, efficiency, and relentless defensive pressure.
ADM wasted no time grabbing control, erupting for a 22–6 first-quarter lead behind crisp ball movement and strong finishing at the rim. The Tigers didn't slow down in the second quarter, delivering their most dominant stretch of the night. ADM outscored the Comets 17–2 in the period, taking a 39–8 lead into halftime.
Senior standout Hudson Lorensen was nearly unstoppable in the opening half, pouring in 24 points before the break. He finished the night with a game-high 27 points, knocking down six three-pointers and spearheading the Tigers' offensive attack.
ADM continued to stretch the margin in the third quarter, extending the advantage to 53–15. With the game well in hand, the Tigers turned to their bench to close out the fourth, completing the wire-to-wire conference win.
Joining Lorensen in double figures was senior Trey Bryte, who delivered a strong all-around performance with 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists. Senior Hayden Dohlman added 5 points and contributed on both ends of the floor.
The win moves ADM to 2–0 on the season, while North Polk drops to 1–2. The Tigers will make their home debut on Tuesday, hosting Carroll in Adel.
