Tigers Roll Past Cardinals
The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn (ADM) Boys Basketball team wrapped up their regular season in impressive fashion, securing a decisive 69-45 victory over Newton on Thursday night. The win marks the Tigers' 18th of the season as they head into postseason play with momentum.
Junior Hudson Lorensen delivered a standout performance, posting a season-high 41 points. He was unstoppable from all areas of the floor, shooting 12-19 overall, an impressive 6-9 from beyond the arc, and a perfect 11-11 from the free throw line.
ADM set the tone early, racing out to a commanding 16-3 lead by the end of the first quarter. Newton responded with a stronger offensive effort in the second, but ADM still held a solid 33-19 advantage at halftime. The Tigers came out firing in the third quarter, scoring 21 points to extend their lead to 54-31, and from there, they cruised to the 69-45 win.
Besides Lorensen's remarkable scoring night, junior Trey Bryte added 13 points, while junior Hudson Shull and senior Cade Fisher each contributed five points to the Tigers' balanced effort.
ADM finishes the 2024-25 regular season with an 18-4 record and now sets its sights on the postseason.
