Bio

Coach Winkowitsch will be entering his second year at ADM. This fall will be his 31st season as a head football coach. Coach Wink spent 20 years at West Delaware High School, posting a record of 157-58 with 15 playoff appearances. During his tenure at West Delaware, Coach Wink’s teams finished 2nd (2005), as semifinalist twice in 2015 and 2010 and quarterfinalists six times. He currently stands at 196 career wins which ranks him 14th among current Iowa High School Football coaches. He was named Class 3A coach of the year in 2010 and has been named district coach of the year 10 times.

Coach Wink graduated from Westmar College in 1994 with K-12 Physical Education and Biology degrees, plus a minor in Psychology. While at Westmar he was a 4 year starter on the football team. He furthered his education by receiving a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Wayne State College and an Administration degree from Buena Vista University.

He and his wife Kara have 6 children – Jack (29) wife Jessica, Trent (27) wife Jenna, Kyle (26), Miah (22), Aleah (20), and Ren (18). Their children all live near Adel and were a factor in the decision making process. He is a native of Allison, Iowa.
