Tigers Dominate Regular Season Finale with 43-0 Shutout Over Denison-Schleswig
ADEL, Iowa – October 24, 2025 – The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers capped off their regular season in dominant fashion Friday night, rolling past Denison-Schleswig 43-0 at Tiger Stadium. The win solidified ADM's perfect 5-0 district record and pushed their overall mark to 8-1 heading into the Class 4A state playoffs.
Although the Tigers started slower than usual, senior running back Reed Obstarczyk powered the ADM offense with a career night, rushing for 191 yards on 16 carries and scoring five touchdowns. Obstarczyk found the end zone on the Tigers' second offensive possession with a 29-yard run, setting the tone for what would be a relentless night on the ground.
Freshman quarterback Daniel Storck added ADM's only other touchdown on a 3-yard run late in the game. Senior quarterback Hudson Shull managed the offense efficiently, completing 6 passes for 55 yards, while Storck contributed 29 passing yards in relief.
The Tigers' receiving corps was led by Ethan Uglum (31 yards), Reid Kluesner (20 yards), Leyton Gerleman (19 yards), and Corbin Doll (16 yards). Obstarczyk also added a 24-yard touchdown reception, further showcasing his all-around impact.
Defensively, ADM continued their season-long dominance, limiting Denison-Schleswig to just 61 total passing yards and forcing multiple turnovers, including an early interception that set up the Tigers' first touchdown. The defense was anchored by strong performances from Carson Oberhoffer (3 solo tackles for loss and 3 sacks), Garrett Gerleman (5 solo tackles), and Leyton Gerleman (1 sack).
With the victory, ADM finishes the regular season as District Champions—a title they clinched a week earlier against Lewis Central—and remains one of Class 4A's top teams entering postseason play. Denison-Schleswig closes their season with a 1-8 overall record (1-4 in district).
