Tigers Rolls Past Rams
Glenwood, IA — October 10, 2025
The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers made a powerful statement in district play Friday night, rolling to a 45–3 road victory over the Glenwood Rams in a matchup of two 5–1 teams. The win pushes ADM to 6–1 overall and 3–0 in the district, while Glenwood drops to 5–2 (2–1 district).
Strong Start Sets the Tone
Both teams entered the game undefeated in district play, and early on, the Tigers wasted no time grabbing momentum. After punting on their opening possession, ADM struck first with a 38-yard field goal from senior kicker Colby Simons to take a 3–0 lead.
Moments later, senior quarterback Hudson Shull broke free on a 56-yard touchdown run, electrifying the ADM sideline and giving the Tigers a 10–0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Balanced Attack in the First Half
ADM's offense continued to click in the second quarter. Shull found senior wideout Reece Strittmatter on a 17-yard touchdown pass, and then added a 15-yard rushing score of his own to extend the lead to 24–0. Glenwood's only points came on a 27-yard field goal by senior Aaron Christian just before halftime, as the Tigers carried a commanding 24–3 advantage into the break.
Second-Half Surge Seals the Win
The Tigers didn't let up after halftime, outscoring Glenwood 21–0 in the final two quarters. Senior Leyton Gerleman sprinted for a 38-yard touchdown, and senior running back Reed Obstarczyk capped the night with two scoring runs — one from 63 yards and another from 4 yards out — to put the game well out of reach.
ADM's offense was dominant, posting 365 rushing yards and five touchdowns on the ground.

In the receiving game, six different Tigers made catches, with Strittmatter's 15-yard TD reception standing out. Defensively, ADM delivered a team effort — 42 solo tackles, 12 assists, and 3 sacks — with key contributions from Cade Duffy, Carson Oberhoffer, and Tyler Kneip, who each recorded tackles for loss.
