Tigers Race Past Jackets

Council Bluffs, Iowa – October 3, 2025
The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn (ADM) Tigers continued their offensive surge Friday night, rolling past the Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson Yellow Jackets 42-7 at Gale Wickersham Athletic Complex. The win marks ADM's second district victory of the season, improving their record to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in district play.

First-Half Fireworks

After an early defensive stand, ADM wasted little time finding the end zone. Senior quarterback Hudson Shull sparked the scoring with a 33-yard touchdown run, giving the Tigers a 7-0 lead.

Following a Yellow Jacket punt, the Tigers struck again through the air as Shull connected with senior wide receiver Leyton Gerleman on a 19-yard touchdown pass. Just minutes later, Shull added his second touchdown throw of the night, hitting senior tight end Reece Strittmatter from 28 yards out to extend the lead to 21-0.

ADM's offensive onslaught continued behind the powerful running duo of Shull and senior running back Reed Obstarczyk, who each added rushing touchdowns before halftime. The Tigers entered the break with a commanding 35-0 advantage, leaving little doubt about the game's outcome.

Second-Half Control

Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson broke the shutout in the fourth quarter with a 32-yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Jayden Fujii to sophomore receiver Braxton Parks, trimming the lead to 35-7. However, ADM responded immediately, capping the night with a 2-yard touchdown run by Obstarczyk, sealing the 42-7 final score.
